ENDLESS™ Legend
Descrizione
Endless Legend is a turn-based 4X fantasy strategy game from Amplitude Studios, the team behind Endless Space and Dungeon of the Endless. You lead one of eight civilizations on Auriga, a world scarred by an ancient catastrophe that sinks deeper into the cold with every winter. Explore its ruins, build cities, assimilate its peoples and decide whether your legend is written in trade, science or blood.
A Dying World With a Long Memory
Auriga has seen apocalypse before. Its seasons turn as you play, and the winters grow harsher as the world drifts toward its end, slowing armies, straining food supplies and forcing you to plan around the cold instead of simply waiting it out. Across the map lie the ruins of the Endless, the vanished precursors whose Dust still drives the world's economy and magic. Every map is randomly generated, and you can set its size, shape and topography before you begin, so no two campaigns unfold the same way.
Eight Civilizations, Eight Ways to Play
Endless Legend's factions are not reskins of one another. The Wild Walkers, Vaulters, Ardent Mages, Drakken, Broken Lords, Necrophages, Roving Clans and Cultists of the Eternal End each bring their own units, affinity and quest storyline, and several of them break the usual 4X rules outright.
Broken Lords Once-noble knights whose spirits now live on inside suits of armor, the Broken Lords draw on Dust to sustain themselves, spending the empire's wealth to heal their troops and grow their cities. Necrophages A ravenous insectoid swarm that feeds on the fallen, the Necrophages can never make peace with their neighbors, so every campaign becomes a race to outgrow and overwhelm the empires around them. Roving Clans Nomadic traders who cannot declare war, the Roving Clans win through commerce instead, profiting from the marketplace and using their wealth and diplomacy to stay safe on a hostile continent. Cultists of the Eternal End Zealots who can hold only a single city, the Cultists spread their influence by converting the minor factions around them, building a far-reaching faith out of one fortified heart.Expand Your Empire, Region by Region
Auriga is divided into regions, and each region can hold only one city, so every settlement you found is a claim that matters and a border someone else will want.
- Villages of minor factions dot the map. Pacify them through quests, force or Dust, then assimilate the faction to recruit its units and claim its traits, including the Ice Wargs, a bonus minor faction included with the game.
- Heroes can be hired, equipped and trained through their own skill trees, then sent to lead armies into battle or govern cities to boost their output. The bonus hero Namkang joins the roster alongside the standard cast.
- Dust is Auriga's currency and the fuel of its magic, while luxuries and strategic resources feed boosters and advanced equipment. Trade them on the marketplace and research technologies era by era to unlock new districts, units and gear.
Tactical Battles on the World Map
When armies meet, the fight plays out on the surrounding hexes of the world map itself, so elevation, chokepoints and the ground you chose to hold all matter. Endless Legend uses a simultaneous turn-based battle system: both sides issue orders, then each round resolves at once, rewarding players who anticipate where the enemy will move instead of simply reacting.
Unit equipment and abilities give you plenty to work with, and you can zoom out of a battle at any moment to manage the rest of your empire without losing the thread. Trade and diplomacy offer quieter routes to power for players who would rather outmaneuver a rival than march on them.
Your Legend, Your Rules
Victory can come in several forms, from conquest and economic dominance to scientific achievement or completing your faction's quest, and you can shift strategy as the campaign reveals what Auriga has in store. Beyond the eight standard civilizations, you can design custom factions from the game's traits, including the bonus trait "A song of only ice", then pit them against your friends' creations in multiplayer. Steam Workshop support opens the door to community mods, and the official soundtrack by Arnaud Roy (FlybyNo) is included in mp3 format, the same haunting score that carries you through each long winter.
Choose your people, find a fertile region for your first city and see how you fare when the snow comes. Auriga has ended before. Whether it ends again on your watch is up to you.
