Deep Rock Galactic sends a crew of up to four dwarven space miners into the cave systems of Hoxxes IV, the most hostile planet the Deep Rock Galactic Corporation has ever tried to strip for profit. Every mission generates a fresh labyrinth of tunnels and caverns, every wall can be dug or blasted away, and every objective ends the same way: a sprint back to the drop pod with a swarm at your heels. Ghost Ship Games built a co-op shooter around teamwork, terrain and a corporate employer that does not much care whether you make it home.

Four Classes, One Crew

Each dwarf carries a toolkit the others lack, and the game is designed so that no single class can do everything. A team that reads the cave together, lights it, bridges it and defends it will go far deeper than four lone heroes.

Scout The nimble wayfinder. The Scout's flare gun turns pitch-black caverns into readable spaces, and the grappling hook reaches mineral veins and ledges nobody else can. Fast, fragile and usually the first to find out how deep a hole really goes. Gunner The heavy weapons specialist. When the swarm arrives, the Gunner's minigun and autocannon do the bulk of the killing, and the deployable bubble shield buys the whole team a breather to revive, reload and regroup. Engineer The defensive backbone. Sentry guns hold a perimeter, 40mm grenades break up crowds, and platforms bridge gaps or catch a falling teammate. The Engineer makes a chaotic cave into a defensible position. Driller The living bulldozer. Twin handheld drills carve straight through rock, so the Driller decides the route, tunnels an escape line to the drop pod and uses a flamethrower and C4 charges to solve whatever the swarm brings.

Caves That Never Repeat

Missions are procedurally generated across 11 distinct biomes, from crystalline caverns to fungus bogs and magma cores, each with its own cave formations, hazards and colorful, frequently lethal flora and fauna. The terrain is 100% destructible. Dig a shortcut to a stranded teammate, collapse a stalagmite onto a choke point, or hollow out a bunker for the final stand before extraction. Reading the cave and reshaping it is as much a part of the job as shooting.

Hordes of Hoxxes IV

Over 50 enemy types share the mines with you, and none of them appreciate the company. Glyphid grunts arrive in swarms, praetorians and oppressors shrug off frontal fire, and the ones you learn to fear most fly, burrow or snatch a dwarf from above and below. Adjustable hazard levels let a new crew find their footing and give veterans a genuine reason to coordinate, because at the higher settings a single lapse in awareness ends the run.

A Career Worth Digging For

  • Thousands of weapon modifications, overclocks, perks and cosmetics unlock as you climb the ranks, so each class keeps evolving across hundreds of hours of play.
  • All six seasons of additional content released since launch are included with the game and free to every owner: no battle passes, no rotating shop, no gated content. The only paid extras are cosmetic packs.
  • Full controller support, Steam Achievements, Steam Cloud saves and a broad set of accessibility options, including color alternatives and camera comfort settings, round out the package.

Rock and Stone

Back on the Space Rig the bar is open, the barrel-kicking is encouraged and the salute is mandatory. Deep Rock Galactic is at its best when four friends drop in together, argue about the route, lose the Scout down a chasm and still haul the aquarq home. Grab your pickaxe, pick your class and report for duty. The mines of Hoxxes IV are waiting, and no dwarf gets left behind.
