A Total War Saga: TROY
Descrizione
A Total War Saga: TROY brings Creative Assembly's celebrated strategy formula to the Trojan War. Released in 2020 as the second Total War Saga, it blends grand turn-based empire management across the Aegean with spectacular real-time battles, and it asks a question Homer left open: what if the heroes and monsters of legend had a basis in history?
The Iliad as a Grand Campaign
Paris, prince of Troy, has eloped with Helen, queen of Sparta, and King Menelaus has sworn to bring her home whatever the cost. From that spark the whole Bronze Age Mediterranean catches fire. The campaign map stretches from mainland Greece and the islands of the Aegean to the coast of Anatolia, and every city, harbor and mountain pass is a prize worth fighting for. Whether you save Troy or bring its walls down is entirely up to you.
Eight Heroes, Eight Ways to Play
The Achaean Kings Agamemnon of Mycenae, the unrivaled warrior Achilles, vengeful Menelaus of Sparta and cunning Odysseus of Ithaca lead the Greek coalition. Each commands a faction with its own campaign mechanics and a Homeric victory condition drawn from his legend. The Defenders of Troy Noble Hector, wayward Paris, Aeneas of Dardania and Sarpedon of Lycia stand against the invasion. Their campaigns play very differently from the Achaeans', and every one of them offers a distinct route to holding the city or claiming glory of their own. Heroes on the Battlefield Heroes are more than generals in TROY. They lead from the front, carve through enemy lines and can challenge rival heroes to single combat, so a well-timed duel between Achilles and Hector can decide the fate of an entire battle.Truth Behind the Myth
Rather than filling the battlefield with monsters, TROY looks for the history hiding inside the legends. The Minotaur is reimagined as a hulking warrior in a bull's-head helm, and fighters resembling the Cyclops, Giants and Centaurs join your armies as elite mythic units. Battles reward an eye for terrain as much as numbers: light, medium and heavy infantry each have their place, tall grass hides ambushes, mud bogs down heavy troops, and chariots take the place of massed cavalry on the plains before Troy.
An Economy of Bronze and Barter
- Food, wood, stone, bronze and gold replace a single currency. Every region specializes, so a province rich in bronze can be worth more to your war than a wealthy city, and a shortage can stall an army as surely as a defeat.
- Trade surplus goods with neighboring factions, buy their support or cement alliances through gifts. Diplomacy becomes a genuine tool for winning the war, with statecraft opening doors that spears alone cannot.
- Build temples, hold rituals and make sacrifices to earn the favor of Zeus, Athena, Poseidon and the other Olympians. Their blessings strengthen your armies and your lands, and a faithful kingdom goes to war with the gods at its back.
Your War, Your Way
Adjust the difficulty for a relaxed first campaign or a punishing test of command, save whenever you like, and when your single-player war is won, take your armies online for competitive battles against other commanders or cooperative play alongside friends.
Helen's ship has already sailed and the kings of the Aegean are gathering their armies. Hold Troy's walls with Hector or launch a thousand ships with Agamemnon, then write your own ending to one of the oldest stories ever told.
